Annual Captiva Island Holiday Village


Captiva Island, Florida celebrates the holidays with its Captiva Holiday Village. Enjoy the joyful sights and sounds, fun parades, amazing tree lightings, and awesome fireworks on the beach. Festivities start each year around Thanksgiving week and continue through Christmas.

There are many activities from which to choose… (2017 Schedule is Pending.) Watch fire dancing, musical performances, and colorful parades. Take a boat cruise. Explore the festively-lighted, award-winning restaurants. Or simply relax and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets after a day of shelling on the beach.

December 2nd & 3rd – Captiva Luminary
For more than two decades island businesses, organizations, residents, and tourists have gathered for one of Captiva’s most treasured annual events, the Luminary Festival. Captiva sparkles with illuminated candles from end to end as we mark the launch of the holiday season. Enjoy a variety of bands performing live music throughout the Village.

December 9 & 10 – Top Country Singer/Songwriters perform at Keylime Bistro From 6-10pm.

December 16th & 17th– South Seas Island Resort Holiday Stroll.
Cruise from McCarthy’s Marina to South Seas @ 7:00pm

Families are invited to visit South Seas Island Resort for a breathtaking display of holiday lights and family activities during Holliday Stroll. Children will enjoy making gingerbread, creating ornaments, eating smores and visiting with Santa. The resort is usually closed to the public, but during Holiday Stroll the gate is open for all to enjoy and share in the Holiday cheer. Children 12 and under are FREE, Adults $10. All proceeds will benefit Community Cooperative, a local non-profit agency which cares for the hungry and homeless in our community.

December 17th – Captiva Golf Cart Parade 4:00pm

In its 7th season, the Golf Cart Parade has become an island holiday tradition. Nearly 50 decorated golf carts roll down Captiva Drive with “over the top” displays of holiday spirit. Snowflakes, flamingos and gingerbread houses float up Andy Rosse Lane to the delight of spectators. Be sure to vote for your favorite “float” for the People’s Choice Award.
